Every extension on your PBXme account gets its own dedicated voicemail inbox. Callers reach voicemail when an extension is busy, unanswered, or forwarded to it directly via Dynamic Call Forwarding.
Each mailbox is independently configurable with its own greeting recording. You can record greetings directly from any SIP device or upload an audio file through the portal.
Voicemail messages are delivered to email so you never miss a message — even when you’re away from your desk phone.

How to Set Up Voicemail
Enable Voicemail on the Extension
In your PBXme portal, open the extension settings and enable voicemail. Set a PIN code for secure access and add an email address for message delivery.
Record Your Greeting
Dial *98 from any registered SIP device to record your personal greeting, or upload an audio file through the portal. The greeting plays to every caller who reaches your voicemail.
Configure When Calls Go to Voicemail
Voicemail activates automatically when the extension is busy or unanswered. You can also forward a DID directly to voicemail via Dynamic Call Forwarding, or assign it as an IVR key destination.
Receive Messages by Email
Every new voicemail is delivered to your configured email address as an audio attachment. Listen from your inbox — no need to dial in to check messages.

Yes. Voicemail is included at no extra cost with every virtual number plan. Every extension gets its own mailbox with no storage or message count limits imposed by default.
Does each extension get its own voicemail box?

Yes. In Dynamic Call Forwarding for any of your numbers, select Voicemail as the destination and choose the target extension mailbox. Callers are sent directly to voicemail without ringing.
