This guide explains how to create an IVR in PBXme system and then redirect a local number to it. Follow the steps and use the screenshots.. Step 1: Go to the IVR pageIn the top menu, click Inbound and then IVR. |
Step 2: Create a new IVRClick Create. |
Fill in the required fields: Name – Required field, name of the conference room, for redirecting the leading number Welcome Greeting – Required field, name of the recording file that will be played to a new caller upon entering the conference room Timeout – Required field, time to disconnect the call if no option is selected Invalid Retries – Name of the recording file that will be played if a number is selected that is not associated with any destination in the room. Status – Option to turn off/on the conference room, while preserving all its settings. Description – Textual description of the conference room Advance -Define a destination for each digit (for example: 1 for Dispatch, 2 for Support, 3 for Management) |
Step 3: Save the IVRAfter filling in the details, click Save. The IVR will now appear in the list.. |
Step 4: Local number redirection to IVRIn the top menu, click Add/View Numbers. In the list of numbers, click the Call Forward icon next to the number you want to forward. . |
In the Local Numbers Destination window, select Call Type = IVR Select the IVR you created.. |
Step 5: Save and confirmClick Save. Your number is now redirected to the IVR you selected. |
